Entrance to Amma/MGR Memorial
Overview

The memorials feature eternal flames and are located on the northern end of Marina Beach, dedicated to former Tamil Nadu leaders: C.N. Annadurai, K. Karunanidhi, M.G. Ramachandran, and J. Jayalalithaa.

While clustered together, the Anna Memorial is distinct from the MGR & Amma Memorials, as they represent leaders from the major opposing political parties of the state.

The site also houses museums exhibiting the lives and achievements of these influential political figures.

It is recommended to visit the memorials when you are visiting Marina Beach to admire the architecture and design, even if you are not familiar with the leaders to whom they are dedicated.
